About

Charlie James Tennant

Hailing from Tamworth, U.K., Charlie James Tennant managed to combine the themes of childhood, anger and love with ethereal, sonically-driven, cinematic soundscapes.

The contemporary musician began learning piano at the age of seven and started recording music at fifteen, drawing influences from ambient pop artist, M83 as well as the pop-influenced hooks and and lush ambient backdrops of The 1975. After immersing himself in the works of Brian Eno, Tennant recorded his first album "YOUTH" as his introduction into the music industry, creating an album with no budget, just a laptop and a couple of keyboards. Veteran music reviewer, Simon Redley of Music Republic Magazine coined the debut album as, "emotional, passionate, sensitive and beautiful."

Tennant's sophomore album 'a hyper-extended funeral of everybody's hopes and dreams' was released on March 1st 2019.
